HP Wand prototypes, Art of Animation details & more!

Howdy Howdy Howdy- The other night I had the most INCREDIBLE experience I have had since arriving. I made the realization that our next door neighbour here in Davenport is an INCREDIBLE artisan to say the very least. Now I knew Brian was creating some pretty impressive stuff currently for the Art of Animation Resort at Walt Disney World but as I found out during a cocktail party, he is involved with SO MUCH MORE!

Wands are magical, aren't they?

Suddenly appearing as if they were…….well morphed in by a Wand……artifact after amazing and magical artifact was pulled out for my personal viewing. I was able to snap a few photos but held to secrecy by others but was EXTREMELY GRATEFUL for the opportunity I can assure you. Brian works for a company here in Orlando Florida that has been successful in completing a plethora of movie and television works of ART!!
From the HGTV program featuring backyards created with DISNEY in mind, to the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando and currently at the Art of Animation Resort- Brain has helped created many of our beloved Disney characters….only in a MUCH GRANDER SCALE!!

I witnessed for example wands that were actually used as prototypes for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The actual Wands that Harry and Hermione and the gang used the night of the opening. I was bewildered that I was actually holding one. It was lit up for me to experience and the entire evening was played out for me. I sat in awe as Brian produced more and more. From Pumpkin Juice bottles to official invitations sent out to the creators by McGogonagall herself via OWL MAIL!! It was truly a breathtaking site for me. I was told of the trails and tribulations of the creation of things, how J.K. Rowling would converse and redesign on a multitude of occasion to ensure everything was PERFECT.

Yes that's a Harry Potter want prototype...no big deal!

I was even given the opportunity to see an extra special sneak peek of the cars that are currently being created for the Art of Animation Resort at Walt Disney. This was an extra special treat and one that I could NOT in any way take photos of I am afraid to say. I what I CAN tell you is that it will truly blow your socks off.
Disney obviously has become synonymous for attention to detail and allow me to be the first to tell you that they are INCREDIBLE and EXACTLY what you picture in the movies.

Brian has been successfully working with Sheriff and Fillmore. I saw detailed photos of Sheriff who will have fully functionally lights and everything. Fillmore actually had the most detail I have ever seen. There are tons of bumper stickers and there are humorous shout outs to animation so stay glued to the entire vehicle to see exactly what I am talking about. Brian is currently taking Sally from a mold to an authentic car and I mean I saw it with my own eyes so I know she’s coming along.

Brian has also successfully completed life-sized replicas of original Disney characters for HGTV- My Yard goes Disney. For Canadian fans, you will have to look online to see this one of a kind Disney show. They take willing homeowners in the Orlando area of course and basically take their favorite Disney movie or Park and turn it into a realty in their very own backyard. Take a look at the photo. Brian actually worked on this piece and there are many more where that came from I can assure you.

An exceptional talent, a really great guy and who knew, my neighbour? Goes to show you, you can find something magical anywhere you are, you just have to know where to look. I was so enthusiastic that Brian has promised to keep me posted so I can keep YOU posted and what is going on and the progress they are making on the Art of Animation Resort and every other up and coming project he may have on the go.

So, for now everybody, enjoy the photos. I can assure you that I will be extremely excited to visit the Resort when it is scheduled to open sometimes in May 2012 and I will certainly have a personal connection to many of our beloved Disney characters who have come to life before our very eyes. I for one am grateful for people like Brian who can create something magical for the rest of us to enjoy and return to for many years to come.

Now, if you will excuse me, I have a wand that I need to practice with. I am trying to get myself over to Universal Orlando so I can fly with Harry and it doesn’t seem to be working. I guess I will have a pumpkin juice and keep trying.

Until next time folks, TTFN

Tracey
